A Clear October Day Above Manhattan
There is something about October light over New York. The haze of summer has lifted, the air turns crisp, and the city below looks almost hand-drawn — every bridge, every rooftop, every ripple on the Hudson rendered in sharp relief. It was on one of those October 2026 afternoons that Sarah G. climbed into our Piper Cherokee PA-28 at Linden Airport in New Jersey, just minutes from Manhattan, for a private daytime tour of the skyline.

The VIP Treatment Starts on the Ground
Sarah mentioned the red carpet, and we love that she did — because the experience genuinely begins before the propeller ever turns. Linden Airport is a small, friendly general aviation field, which means no terminals, no security lines, no crowds. Guests arrive, meet their pilot, walk out onto the ramp, and step straight up to the aircraft. We roll out the carpet because a flight like this deserves a little ceremony, and because the photos that come from those few minutes on the ground often end up being favorites.
Photos matter to us. Sarah noted the "many pictures," and that is by design. On a day flight like Sarah's, the detail is the gift. You can pick out the shape of Battery Park, follow the long green seam of Central Park uptown, and trace the Hudson north past the piers. A fixed-wing airplane gives you a steady, quiet platform for all of it: a smooth cruise, big windows, and a pilot narrating what you are looking at as it comes into view.
