A Different Kind of Sightseeing Flight
Most people picture the same thing when they imagine seeing New York City from above: headsets, engine noise, wind rushing past an open door. It is an iconic image, but it is not the only way to do it. When Pam E. flew with Azzurra City Tours out of Linden Airport in January 2026, she came away with a comparison we hear often from first-time guests — and one she put more plainly than most.
A fixed-wing airplane behaves differently in the air than a helicopter does. Our Piper Cherokee PA-28 flies in long, steady lines rather than hovering, which means the ride settles into something closer to gliding.
